Fort Running Bear is a combat veteran/family owned private campground. First purchased by the Sellman family in 1990 and running strong for over 30 years. We are located 23 miles Northeast of Mountain Home, Idaho (mile marker 118 on highway 20 (towards Sun Valley [NOTE: Please be advised that there is a three mile dirt graveled road that leads to our park.  It is a well maintained public access road however we recommend that you unhitch any vehicles prior to access due to heavy dust during dry times.] ). Our facility is ideal for family and personal getaways with an emphasis on scenic beauty, privacy, and some of the finest recreational experiences Idaho has to offer. We are a private membership campground and only permit public guests to stay at our park for no more than two visits.

Although it is a private membership park, we open to the public at affordable seasonal rates and offers 30 Amp RV sites (back ins), tent/outdoor camping, cabin rentals, and family/business overnight events. 

We are open from 1 May to 10 October. 

Fort Running Bear provides a classic remote camping and RV experience for adventurers and families around the world; located within close driving distances to some of the most beautiful and picturesque environments in the Pacific Northwest, our unique location provides key access to some of the best bait and fly fishing in this region.  Additional excursions within the surrounding area include many National Forests and Preserves, all terrain vehicle trails, and hiking adventures.

For Who:

Although it is a private membership park, we are open to the public at affordable rates and offer 30 and 50 amp (50 amp for members only or upon special request for guests) RV sites (back-ins) including water and sewer, tent/outdoor camping, camping rentals and family/business overnight events.

 

**Pull-through sites are available with 30 amp service and electricity, but no sewer. A dump station is available. .
